Preserving Histories of Arkansas Poets

Miceala Morano (she/her) is the Bob and Ruth Shipley Honors College Fellow and a junior in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences studying Journalism. She is a research team member at the David and Barbara Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History under advisor Alessandro Salemme. This year, she proposed and crafted a research project surrounding the diverse histories of writers and poets in Arkansas.

Maddie Johnson graduated from the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences as a Journalism/Political Science major. She was fortunate to have Dr. Janine Parry, university professor of political science, serve as her thesis mentor, and she completed her defense during the spring of 2024. She looks forward to attending Washington University School of Law in St. Louis this fall.
