Interning on the Hill
One of my favorite days in the office was when I assisted our legal aide in writing up some potential statements and questions for Congressman Mike Johnson to ask in an upcoming Judiciary Committee hearing. It involved some complex legal terms and concepts, so it was an awesome challenge to take on.
Summer of Public Service
This summer I was able to learn and understand the inner workings of our state government. Not only observing but taking an active role. Every day was a new adventure learning more about the Arkansas State Government.

I cannot wait to return back to the Library of Congress in years to come, either as an appreciative visitor or an inspired employee.
Rural Student Takes on the Capitol
One of the most rewarding projects that I was able to help with was a human trafficking state self-survey. A federal committee asked each state to work with stakeholders and get information regarding their effort to combat human trafficking.
The Press Shop: Where Messages Are From One Speaker to Three Million Arkansans
As much as I have gained from the lessons and memories of the internship, I am grateful for the staff and fellow interns I came to know. Every staff member welcomed interns and included us in meetings whenever possible.
